Supporting the Initiative

The Derby for Africa Initiative is run completely by volunteers.  As such we rely on people to help us in many different ways.  If you wish to help then here are some things that you can do:

  1. Register for Updates
    Registering with us provides us with a means to contact you in the future about the campaign.

  2. Provide overnight accomodation for the Walk to London
    The Walk to London will run from the 16th of June to the 2nd July.  Between those dates, we will have two or three walkers who will need overnight accomodation at various locations between Derby and London.  If you live close to the route then let us know using the Contact Us page.  You can check the route on our Interactive Map.

  3. Make a donation
    Although run by volunteers, we still need financial support.  The Walk to London itself will require fuel, food, medical supplies etc.  You can make a donation right now via PayPal (registration is required) using the Donate button on this page or by sending a cheque payable to "The Derby for Africa Initiative" to the address on the Contact Us page.

  4. Tell your friends and family
    One of our main objectives is to raise awareness of our aims.  You can help by spreading the word!
  5. Link to us
    If you have a website and wish to support us then add a link to your website to us.  Not only will it provide another means for people to find us through your own site, but will also improve our ranking in Google search engine.
