The Derby for Africa Initiative Launch Event took place today at the Derby University Multi Faith Centre and it was an overwelming success.
Attendance was so great that all chairs were filled people were left standing at the back!
The event included a keynote speech by the former Mayor of Derby (Cllr. Pauline Latham OBE),
who pledged to walk the first kilometre of the Barefoot Walk to London with Emmanuel. The outcome of the launch event built support
and raised awareness which brought about this campaign.
